 About Cafe Indigo

Okay, here's the story...it's about two accidental vegans....You see, as our children grew into adulthood they chose to become vegans. This made us acutely aware of the difficulties vegans and vegetarians have in finding wholesome foods to eat. In response to this dilemma, Patti began to experiment with our old family recipes, converting them from their traditional ingredients to ingredients that are organic and that do not contain animal products.  Paul, in turn, became the chief taste tester, which turned out to be the best job at Cafe Indigo!

Soon we found ourselves with the most delicious line of products. Our friends joke that our work was inspired by vegans and taste tested by carnivores. Even though they joked with us, it is true that the Mission of Cafe Indigo is to create delicious organic baked goods that meet the standards of the vegan lifestyle while appealing to anyone who enjoys good food.  Oh yes, and after all the experimenting with family recipes and the requisite taste testing we found that we have become accidental vegans!
